Free Google Webinar: In November 2009, Google’s Picasa group asked Geeks on Tour to co-host a beginning level Webinar on using Picasa. It was recorded and you can see it here.
Picasa Starter Lessons
If you’re just getting started with Picasa, watch these Starter Lessons first. You must be a member to watch the Starter Lessons. This group of 13 tutorial videos will take you from Downloading Picasa, to adding captions, editing them, categorizing, all the way thru uploading to a Web Album. If you watch the whole series it will take you about 1hr and 15 minutes. This will give you the essentials for getting started with Picasa.
Then, below, are a list of *all* our Picasa Lessons. The first 3 are free to watch for anyone, the rest require a Geeks on Tour membership. Click on any video listed below to watch it, then click your back button to return to this page. You will need a good, fast Internet connection in order to view these properly. If you don’t have that you can order a CD. You can also download our Seminar Handout.

Going through the tutorials on my computer I lose the audio from time to time and then sometimes the whole program stops. Is it my computer or something else?
My friend does not have Picasa nor a Google user name and password and has no interest in establishing one. As a result, what (if anything) I must do to overcome this problem?
You do not need a Google account to use the Picasa program. A Google account is necessary to use the online features like Picasa Web Albums and Blogger.
I just starting with Picasa
Hi, I am beginning to use Picasa 3.9, and am wanting to do some collages. I was able to create some collages, but cannot seem to be able to save them or print them. It only lets me save them as a Draft. The other save and print options seem to be grayed out and not able to be used.
How do I save and print them??
thanks……Don S.
Did you watch the video on collages?
If your screen does not have the ‘Create’ button, then something is wrong. You’re working on a ReadOnly drive?
Once the collage is Created – it is a jpg file like any other picture.
I am still ploughing through the videos and learning so much. I thought I was pretty familiar with Picasa but there is so much more and you are showing me. But it has occurred to me is there a video that shows your work flow from the minute you personally import photos into your computer/Picasa.
I have not previously used, say tags or geotagging or sizing. I have just imported them and let it do what it did. What do YOU do with your imports and when.
Hello Pamela,
It has been on my list to make just such a video! My process on a daily basis. Thanks for the nudge! I also noticed that you wrote a question here but not in the Forum. The Forum is where we want all questions, so I copied yours and answered it at http://geeksontour.tv/forum/picasa-support-forum/reorganizing-pictures-in-picasa/#p1618
