We hope that you find this new .TV website easy to navigate, but we know there are always issues. This page is where we will post common questions and answers. If you don’t find your question here, we encourage you to use the Forum to post your question.  Comments are for … comments.  Not questions and answers.  We moderate comments, but not every day.

If you still don’t find your answer, you can email us and we’ll get back to you asap.  We get *lots* of email.  Yours could get lost or misfiled.

If you really have a 911 with our website, you can call us at 954-83-GEEKS. Please be aware that this number rings on our personal cell phones, our whole company consists of two people, Jim and Chris Guld, and since we live in an RV, we may be in any one of 4 time zones at any given time.

  1. Hi,

I have become a member in stages. First I bought the eBook and was so impressed I got the full membership. It seems like I am being recognized as a eBook level and not the whole thing…

  2. Hey, Geeks,

I’m the real dumb one, who apparently forgot to renew and now can’t find a place to renew online. Apparently, I need to watch some more videos and read some more of your geeky stuff.

Please tell me what to do and I will do it!!!

I love your “Databoy”, Odie. I have a toy poodle named Pepe LePew, and no matter what ole’ Nick says, they are one of the smartest and sweetest breeds!

    Mary

  3. Ditto … cannot find the place to RENEW my membership. You said somewhere in an email
that it could be found in the MEMBERS section. Sorry, not there, or my failing eyesight is
playing tricks on me. Have a wonderful holiday weekend. Loveya … Joline

    • Hey Joline,
When you first login and you see the welcome message – you will also see a ‘Renew Now’ with a Buy Now button to click.
The problem, as your comment makes me realize, is that you have no way to get *back* to that original page once you start browsing around. You need to know the URL … http://geeksontour.tv/welcome-back/
Thanks for pointing that out, I will try to come up with some easy way to do it. Meanwhile, you can use that URL.
      Good to hear from you!
      Chris

  4. Hi,
I tried to post in the Droid Forum. I THINK I did what I was supposed to do, but don’t see the post. Is there a time drag between when I hit “add a topic” and when it appears. If so, approximately how much time? Can you tell this is my first time? :-)
    Thanks, Pauline

  5. Hi Chris…

I am looking for the information and insturctions on how to teather my Driod. I thought is was here, but guess I have overlooked it? I asked at Verizon and they told me there was a monthly charge. I was thinking that you said it was covered with our data plan? Have I just lost it or what? LOL

    Thanks,
    Dortha

  6. Thanks Jim…

I did refresh my memory on what I thought I remembered from your link. One other question. Am I correct in thinking that I want to buy the full version of the software?

And, once it is downloaded, it will walk me through what I need to do?

Oh, another thought…Mark just upgraded his Droid to the Droid 2. Is there something different about the tethering for his phone?

    Thanks again,
    Dortha

  7. I would like to know if Geeks on tour are just for Picasa or you handle other software etc too?

    • Picasa is our most popular subject. We have have Tutorial Videos on several other program, mostly of interest to travelers. Photo Story 3, Microsoft Streets & Trips, Blogging with Blogger and WordPress, Google Earth and Maps, Get Away-Stay Connected and more.
Go to the Learning Library Page to see everything.

  8. I cannot log in! I have been receiving weekly tips and I have spent $29.95 for the tip book. The tips are great…the web site could be more user friendly…I keep trying and tying to log in HELP (what’s a URI?)Thanks, Brenda

  9. Just discovered your site…..very interesting. I am a MAC user and am interested in things that would relate to the MAC platform..what are your thoughts.

    Thank You

    Dale

    • Hello Dale,
Glad you found us! As you can probably tell, we are not Mac users. However, much of our material is applicable to Mac as well as PCs. Picasa has a Mac version which is 90% the same, Blogger is web-based so it is completely independent of your computer. We also have a Macintosh forum moderated by Ken Wiseman of RVNavigator.com. Ken is a Mac guru and he is also doing some videos which are here: http://geeksontour.tv/category/macintosh-tips/

  10. Hi Chris and Jim: I’ve been hoping that Picasa would develop a 5-star rating system. I’ve been hoping to use quick tags labelled as “5-Stars” “4-Stars” … “Needs Work” “Print Ready” as a work around. Have you prepared a tutorial on Picasa Quick Tags? I haven’t found a list of all the quick tips you offer through email so it is very possible that I missed it. It doesn’t look like your Picasa Video tutorial includes this topic. Thanks so much for all your hard work. I enjoy your videos very much. Priscilla

  11. I rejoined today and was admitted right away to the members only forum and videos. Now, several hours later, I can’t get anywhere near it. Every link goes to the non-member place. All I want to do is to access
the Picasa videos, grrrr-r-r-r. You also have a misspelled word up there: URI should be URL. Go Geeks Go … your second mom … J.

  12. Can Picasa see your videos from a webcam. I would like to edit a movie and be able to watch it on Picasa.

  13. I would like to know how to transfer a Picasa Album from my desktop to another computer (Netbook) using a USB Flash Drive – Could you point me in the right direction. Thanks!!!!!

  14. Please tell me how I can copy a photo or more from one folder or album and place the copy into another folder. “help” says it’s easy and to click the “organize” button, click copy and then enter the title for the new album. I do not want to move the pictures, just the copy. thank you
