20 GB Internet Stick | High Speed Internet Connections for Travelers | Forums

We use Millenicom as our Internet, and plug the stick into a router so we both have access to the Internet.  Cost is $59.99 including all taxes and fees.  Our daughter uses another service similar to this one with unlimited access.  Millenicom uses Verizon towers, her service offered Verizon or Sprint as the provider.  So far it has worked great.

   Yes, at the moment they have the deal for the Advanced Plan, you sign up and the stick is free (normally it cost $100). It runs to the end of March. 20 GB is the 59.99 nationwide.  They also have another plan that is 69.99 a month unlimited nationwide, it's for personal and family plan and if you exceed more than 50GB in a month they will investigate to make sure it isn't used as a public service, but you have to purchase your stick.  We have no contract, and but we cannot put it on vacation or turn it on and off.  This is our only Internet, so have not found it necessary to shut off. They have a chart on the Advanced Plan page that shows approximately how many of a thing you can download to reach the 20GB.  They say you can download roughly 27 movies, but think they are talking only movies a month.  If anyone wanted to use it for watching TV and movies the unlimited plan would be the choice. These are the two major plans although they do have a couple more that are a little different.

     We use AT&T as our phone service and up until we started using this service we used Verizon.  We found that having both services, we were covered all the time.  Last summer we did the Inside Passage via the ferry system and had good Internet coverage everywhere we went.
