Just bought a new GPS Garmin 1490 – mostly for then larger screen and lifetime map updates. Did you mention at one time you can upload streets and trips routes to the Garmin? If so do you have anything in your tutorials . If not can you explain how to do it.

As allways thanks for letting me pick your brain. Jean

Jean,

Streets & Trips works great with the Garmin.  One button to upload to the Garmin 1490.

Here is the link: http://geeksontour.tv/streets-…..ng-series/ the video for transfering is the last one on the list.

In addition to the information contained in Chris' last video in this series, there are a couple of tips I would like to add.

1. On the data tab in Streets and Trips, there are options to export and import gpx files. You can move files back and forth between Garmin and S&T using these options. The gpx files are on the Garmin and you can transfer points either way.

2. When the points have been transferred to the Garmin, you can do your whole multi point route by selecting the last point first using the method shown in the video. When that has been calculated by the Garmin, select menu and where to and then the next to last point and select add to route. Do this for all points , adding them in reverse order and you will end up with a route including all points. The only caviot is that the route may not be exactly the same as on your S&T because only the points are the same. The route is calculated by each software and may be slightly different.

I hope this is not too confusing. Maybe Chris can do a couple more videos, showing this in detail.

Day after day as I try to remember, I find my forgetter working better and better.
