OfflineI have created a 100+ day using Microsoft Streets & Trips 2011. We know the date we are starting (March 2, 2012). Given that there are certain places we need to make advance reservations at, is there a way to import or create a calendar that starts March 2 2012 from Microsoft Streets and Trips that then shows the corresponding calendar dates that we could be at each planned stop?
Thanks, John

OfflineJohn,
This is something I have been asking Microsoft to do for the past 8 or 9 years. For now, it can't be done. I use two methods to keep track. I create a spreadsheet with the days down column A with the location I am planning to be at on each day in column B and a notation of my reservations in column C.
In the S&T file, I use the rename function to add the date(s) and location as the name of each location along with the number of nights I will spend in each location. Here is an example of the S&T names:
12/31/10 Mesa, AZ – View Point RV and Golf Resort (1 night)
01/01-01/09 Earp, CA – Emerald Cove Resort – RPI – 34.20853°N 114.22413°W (5 nights)
01/10 La Quinta, CA – Walmart (1 night)
01/11-01/15 Indio, CA – FMCA Rally (5 nights)
and here is the spreadsheet for the same period:
| Friday, December 31, 2010 | Mesa, AZ – Viewpoint Golf Resort | |
| Saturday, January 01, 2011 |
Earp, CA – Emerald Cove Resort – RPI Preferred | Confirmation # 1681714 on 11/10/2010 |

Hey David,
I love your spreadsheet! Wouldn't it be great if the Streets program allowed you to Expand the route planner and include a date column as well as custom columns, like Comments for your reservation numbers? They surely can do this … if enough of us ask. I will let our contacts know ..
Another good place to post this would be in laptopgpsworld.com
Meanwhile, something I find helpful is to print the route with the option of the Route Summary. Then, in the segment detail area I can pencil in the date. This is all completely manual, but it's something I can keep referring to anyway. To see the Summary option I'm talking about – watch Printing video in the Streets and Trips series.

OfflineDavid, Thanks so much for this tip. I've been downloading my MSST route onto an Excel file (using the MSST function) and then spending a lot of time editing to produce a informative itinerary with dates, confirms, etc. Your idea is much better.
I also learned recently that you can eliminate via points using rename. To force MSST to follow the route you want you often have to put in a stop as a via point. I just use rename and delete the stop name and replace it with a space (using space bar). Then it doesn't show up!
