I discovered the "geeks" while attending the Louisville Rally last year great seminars on Streets & Trips and Picassa, lots of information. As we are getting set to start full timing in the fall it's time to find out how much I really don't know about S & T, and be able to answer the "honey, how do I?" questions from my wife Becky.

I have just started playing with the free (60 day) S & T '10, is the 2011 version due out soon, I am reluctant to pay for the 2010 version and then find out the update version will be released the following week.

We both like Picassa and it's ease of use and find most things intuative.

Tony,

Thanks for the kind words.

The S&T 2011 version will be available on Feb 14, according to our source at Microsoft.  We got a box of trial versions to distribute at the FMCA SEA Rally last week.

As a member, you have access to all the videos on line, and any new ones.  Be sure to watch them.  Chris will be updating and adding to the Streets video library as we learn the new program.

One of the best features of S&T is having access to the MegaFile.  Here is the link to the latest: POI MegaFile.

Thanks for the information, I will be looking for S&T next week. You had passed the Mega File info on to me with the free S&Tdisc last year, but will check it again after I install the newer version of S&T.

I have started to work my way through the boot camp videos, they are very easy to follow and understand.

Again thanks for all your work.

Just fyi – it appears as if the Streets and Trips program itself has changed very little in the 2011 version.  The main reason to update is for the latest version of the underlying maps, and new places data.  Using the program remains the same.  I've been thru our videos and checked out the procedures in the 2011 software and everything works the same.  No need for new videos!  That's good news for me :-)
