My blog is done in blogger:  http://www.5thwheelwanderings……ogspot.com

When someone makes a comment, it shows that blog entry has one (or more) comments.  A reader must click on the comment link to read the comments.  I finally found a gadget that places all recent comments to the side of the blog posts.  How do I get comments to appear in full at the end of the post they relate to?

Hi Carol,

Great question!  Thanks for getting this forum started.

Bad news though … if I understand what you're asking, it can't be done – not easily anyway.  Let me see if I can explain why.

It might make sense to show comments at the bottom of each post if there was only one or two comments and they were all just a sentence or two.  With our little travel blogs, that is usually the case.  But even one commenter who writes several paragraphs would destroy the flow of your blog. Thus the link instead.

You can have the full comments show automatically on each individual post page.  Just make sure the setting for Comments is 'Comment Form Placement: Embedded below Post.  This will make the full comments appear when viewing an individual post page … when you click on a post title, for example.

If you don't know what I mean about individual post pages, check out this video: http://www.geeksontour.com/sho…..stlink.cfm

And, if you feel like getting geeky with blogger, here is a Blogger help article about how to make comments appear right on your main blog page:

Laugh  Changing the setting to "embedded below post" did what I want.  I may try to decifer the geeky blogger help article later.
