Last year we went on a 6 month trip. As time passes, those posts are farther and farther from the "top".

Is there a way in the date archives (or somewhere) to be able to choose a date range?

Is there a way to put that reference in the side bar?

The blog address is http://www.larry-rita.blogspot.com and we were gone from March 28th to around Sept 20th.

Some folks may only be interested in the trip and not all the other posts.

When using a month in the date archives, only that month comes up and there seems to be no ability to scroll subsequent months. thanks.

hmmm – good question.

I don't know of any way to link to a range of dates.

I think the way I would handle it is to put a link to the first day of the trip (http://www.larry-rita.blogspot…..day-1.html), then instruct readers to click on Newer Post after reading each day's post.

If you watch the beginning Tutorial Video on What is a Blog you'll see what I mean when I go to the very first post of the blog. And also the video on how to "Link to a Single Post"

Does that work for you?

p.s. I'm curious what you used for your picture slide shows?

Using the label for the trip worked well except it started at the end rather than the beginning.

My solution was to create a new blog and export the original. Then I posted only the ones for the trip ( the others I will delete later). I also re-dated each post so the secondary blog would be beginning to end like my 2005 trip is. I can see I have a lot of gaps that need back filling.

The program I use for slide shows is Photo Flash Maker Platinum from Anvsoft. They offer a free one, but it has ads.

that sure sounds like a lot of work just to avoid clicking at the bottom of one page to go to the next :-}

If you're going to export to a whole new blog anyway … I might suggest using Wordpress.com – once your posts are there, you can use a 'shortcode' to automatically sort however you want. There a video on exporting from Blogger to
Wordpres.com
