I am creating a blog for Yankee Doodle Dandies, FMCA-NEAR. yddfm.blogspot.com   Have used your last dics and learned how to put a picture in the header but it is too big.  Don't know where to go to resize the pic to long and narrow like the one on Odie's blog.  Also…can several pictures be put into the header?  May take me several weeks to get back to your answer.  Headed to Gettysburg and York for Music Camp and GEAR.  Thanks.  Roxie

Another Blog!?  :-)

You need to use Picasa's Export for the resizing part.  Use crop to make it the proper width and height dimension.

The way to get multiple pictures is to put them in a collage.  Did you notice that my blog's header recently changed?  :-) Here's a video to watch on exactly how I do our Blogger header.  Go to the Collage Short course page, and it's video #4 about creating a banner picture.

I have watched the video multiple times on making a banner from a collage.  Not succeeding.  I made the picture collage of one picture and put in the writing (Yankee Doodle Dandies).  I think the next step is to crop the picture.  At this point your video shows the crop includes the writing and the picture.  I cannot get the crop to include the writing on the left and picture on the right.  It just stops after aConfusedConfused bit of the picture and gets very large.    Your next step was to go to the blog layout and see the pixel width. Oh…I did try to use Picasa's Export…who knows at what step now!!  I am missing steps somehow.   Not working.

After the Geek/Techno rally maybe you will have time to help.   http://yddfm.blogspot.com

Sending the picture in a separate E mail.  Sorry.

Thanks again and again!Confused

Hey Roxie,

When I go to yddfm.blogspot.com, it says I need to be invited to view it.

But I see the image you sent in email and I think your problem is that, when you crop, you don't have the crop set to manual.  If the crop isn't letting you define the exact area you want, then it is set to a particular size.

Watch this video on Crop Size Options and let me know if that helps.

(thanks for understanding the delay due to our Rally – then I had a cold for a couple days, now we're at Peace River – relaxing and catching up)
