Suddenly I can't upload pictures. After extremely slow uploading process (20 minutes or so) I get error message, "Security error" or "Server Rejected". After numerous tries, one photo did post, but am having the same problem with others. What is going on?

That sounds like an Internet connection error. The receiving server is timing out. Or, have you changed the size of the file uploads? Large picture files take a long time to upload.
Can you try the upload on a different connection? Like at a McDonald's WiFi?

I am having trouble loading photos too!  Sometimes it go smoothly, and the next time it is a real problem.  I have the latest settings for adding photos, but they are not inserted where I have the cursor.  It puts them at the top of the page and when I try to move them, it just doen't work properly.  It appears that they are being moved, but they stay at the same place.  Not sure what is going on, but it gets rather frustrating!

Bonnie,

When you say you 'have the latest settings' do you mean you've checked the setting for New Post Editor?  It's on the Settings page, and Basics tab.  There's 3 choices: Updated editor, Old editor, and Hide compose mode.  If it is set to 'Updated Editor' then it really should not be inserting pictures at the top of the post.

One other idea … be sure you are in Compose mode and *not* Edit HTML when you click on insert image.

Does any of that help?

Hi Chris!

Thanks for the response.  I did check my settings and alll of the things you mentioned were right on my blogger.  Sometimes I can get the photos to come in where I place my cursor, but I am never able to move them to another location except right, left, or center.  When I click on the photos, it looks like they are going to move, but they do NOT.  Also, is it possible to put 3 small photos across the bottom of the post side by side?  It appears that there would be enough room, but it does not allow me to do that.  I would like to be able to put the photos where I want to, but can't seem to do it.  What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help.

Bonnie

I'm really not sure.  At this point I would need to take a look at it.  If you would PM me your Blogger user name and password, I'll do that.

Just in case … PM means 'private message' and you should see a link at the top of this post to do it.

Hey Bonnie,

Well, I took a look and I think everything is working as it is supposed to.

It did add the picture at my cursor location just fine.  Is it possible your mouse is clicking at the beginning of your post just before you click Add Image?

As for moving pictures around … dragging is very difficult because of the little screen space alloted for editing the post.  Instead of drag, try Cut from original position, and paste in new location.  That should work.

Hi Chris!

Thanks again for the help!  Not sure why I have trouble getting the pictures to load at my cursor.  I will keep trying.  I did find it very helpful to just insert the photo and then cut and paste to a new location.  Worked well!

I appreciate your help!

Bonnie
