This topic is covered in the "Free Videos" section, however, this particular video will not open for me.  I've gone through almost all of the other videos in that section and viewed them with no problem.

I have now created "my map" with Google maps thanks to one of Chris's videos so just need to see the video on how to get it into my Blog.

Odie,  I wonder if your Mom & Dad realize this link doesn't work – or at least won't work for me ?? Confused  Cry

HA!  That's how it works right?  When you go to the doctor, the pain goes away

Anyway … I looked at the free video – and, you're right – it doesn't work.  I'm not sure what the problem is.

Meanwhile, since you're a member – you can view the Blogger videos on the learning library: http://geeksontour.tv/blogger-…..ng-series/ and then look for the one on 'Map Gadget Sidebar'

Let us know.

Chris

Chris:

I did manage to start our travel map and post it to our Side Bar. My Question should I be able to post it to a Page?

I have made repeated attempts to do so, but it only shows the logic and not the map like on the Side Bar.

My reasoning behind doing this, is that it would be easier to see as I could display a larger sized map.

I think what you're missing is that you need to be in HTML view of the page before you paste the code.

Does that help?

In the page editor you should see two tabs: Compose and HTML – click on the HTML

Check out the video

After reviewing the video I can honestly say I have done everything it says to do, but I am still only able to post the map on the Side Bar. I am trying to post it on a Page, but no matter what I do it won't happen. I figured it would be easier to see, rather than the smaller map on the Side Bar and copying the HTML to a Page is not working. Is this not something that can or cannot be done? Well, I just tried it with a Page instead of a Post as is in the tutorial and it worked just fine – all the same steps.

Can you give me a link to your google map?  Maybe if I saw that, I would have some ideas.  Also a link to the blog page you're trying to post it on.

I continued reviewing your tutorial and finally caught the step I was doing on the sidebar but not the page. I was failing to use Edit HTML. Embarassed Once I did this everthing fell into place and the blog now looks much neater.Smile
